Look in thy Heart 2

Happy Valentine’s Day

I’m blogging over on the Samhain main blog today – it’ll go up at 9 a.m. I’ve done another movie meme using my favorite romantic movies. Leave me a comment with the name of the movie from the quotes you recognize and you’ll get your name added beside the quote. Hey, it’s free publicity – a way to get your name out there …

Oh, and I got sucked into that phenom known as ‘Twittering’ so if you’re on Twitter, look me up (I’m listed as LeahBraemel). I’m still slowly finding my way around the place, and I can tell already it’s going to be a time suck, but I’m enjoying staying in touch with my friends.

Don’t forget The Samhellion Valentine’s Swag hunt is still going on. It’ll finish tomorrow, so the clock is ticking. And while you’re over there, download some of the free stories Samhain authors have contributed. They’re great for quick reading.

With Curly off in Disneyworld, I told Guitar Hero we’d really appreciate it if he spent this Valentine’s Day over at Blue Monkey’s. He has very kindly obliged. So we have the house to ourselves. I cannot remember the last time that happened. I think it was probably back in 2005 when Gizmo Guy was still working from home and Guitar Hero was in college. Naturally, we’re going to take advantage of the situation – which means I’m not going to today’s Toronto Romance Writers monthly meeting. Nope. I’m going to let Gizmo Guy take me out for lunch. He’s been looking at what movies are out – if he finds anything we think worth it, we’ll head out for an afternoon show, and then come home to take advantage of having no one in the house to … um … yeah, well, you know. We’re gonna veg out on the couch and watch TV. (Right, and if you buy that one, I’ve got some land for sale. In the Okefenokee.)

Oh, and if you were wondering about the title, it’s from here, which I think is a perfect quote for writers:

“Biting my truant pen, beating myself for spite: “Fool!” said my muse to me, “look in thy heart, and write.””
~ Sir Philip Sidney (1554-1586)
