NaNoWriMo Day 10 … plugging away

NaNoWriMo Day 9 - Productive

I’m up to 22486 on Chad’s story – I wrote 1700 more words on it in the AM, but then had to start up Mom’s Taxi Service. Actually I’m over 23K because I wrote another 959 last night, but the NaNo servers were down so I couldn’t update the total. I’ve add it to today’s total, which means my goal is 2500 words to today. Considering it’s almost ten and I haven’t even started, I’m going to have to boot it.

So if I’m not Twitter today, or posting on the Romance Bookmarks group, you know where I am — hunched over a keyboard typing furiously.

***Edited***Darn, it looks like the NaNoWriMo graphic on my sidebar is out to lunch again (it comes from their site and appears to be flaky more’s the pity).

Anyway, I wrote an additional 1700 words today, add that to the 900+ I banked yesterday, and am now at 25,103 (or thereabouts). I’m more than halfway to the NaNo goal of 50K. I’m quite pleased with the quality of this draft, and I’m working hard at writing it sequentially so I don’t have a lot of moving around to do as well as paying attention to the layering/emotions etc, so hopefully I won’t have as rough a first draft as normal.

I’m meeting up with Anara Bella tomorrow afternoon where we will be doing some writing sprints, in addition to chatting ;), so hopefully I’ll have another good wordcount to report to you on Thursday.

Tomorrow I have author Margay Leah Justice as my guest, so don’t forget to stop by and say hi to her.
