Things are heating up around here — both with all the promo I’ve arranged for June, and weather-wise. We’re breaking all sorts of heat records around here. It’s still only May and we’ve already had several days up in the 30s, and today it’s supposed to reach 30 with a humidex of 35. (That’s hot for around these parts even for July, and it’s almost unheard of for May. For you non-metric types, 30 = 86F and 35C=95F, yeah, it’s hot!)
Gizmo Guy is out golfing this morning with his buddies, and Curly is working at my other desk finishing up some book trailers I’ve hired him to make for me for Texas Tangle, and I’m sitting down working on the next in the Hauberk series contemplating the necessity of one of my favorite scenes *sob*. So while I try to decide whether to “kill my baby” as writers say, I’ll leave you with this video–something Guitar Hero and Curly were discussing as we were watching the news this morning about the disastrous oil spill off the Louisiana coastline.
In case you hadn’t caught on, it’s a spoof from an Australian show called “A Current Affair” back in 1991, not a real interview, but lately some of the real interviews I’ve seen on the news reports come frighteningly close.
