I got an email yesterday that caused me a happy dance — yes, it’s a contract. Trouble is, I’m not sure I can share the details of what story it’s for since the publisher may want to announce it themselves. But there will be another book going up on my “Coming Soon” page shortly, and it will be out later this year. Feel free to speculate further in the comments. 😉

The second piece of good news this week is a “Top Pick” review from Terri at Night Owl Romance for Hidden Heat.

I want to post large chunks of the review, LOL, but here are a few of my favorite tidbits…

What is nice about this series is though each can be read independently from the others, all have the same basic characters in them.

Then there was:

One of the best things about this book and series is the realism….awesome realistic touch is the feel of DC and the surrounding areas. To get from Northern VA to Bethesda most people would take 495 which if there is an accident backs up quickly. Little touches like that make you believe that Hauberk does have offices some where within the Beltway.

(Love love love to hear that I “got it right.”)

The characters come to life and draw you into their world. The setting is so realistic that it’s almost impossible to believe that this isn’t real. Besides, I love hot men full of action.

This story is full of action, lots of hot guys, plenty of sex and even some drama. What more can you ask from a story? I couldn’t find anything lacking and only wish there were more to read.

Read the rest of the review at Night Owl Romance. Then come back and tell me if an element Terri mentions about the storyline surprises you…

Thanks, Savannah. Who knew that afternoon we first met over coffee in 2007 … oh wait, we both were there for that very reason!
