The first one started on the first day with the print release of Private Deceptions. It’s a trade paperback combining my very first published book, Private Property, which became book 1 in the Hauberk Protection series, with book 3, Deliberate Deceptions.
On Valentine’s Day, I’ll have another print book out. Last year (it feels so wrong to be thinking of 2012 that way already!) the esteemed Opal Carew invited me and 10 other Canadian authors to participate in an anthology of short erotic romances called Northern Heat: Best Canadian Romance Stories. You can find out more about my short story “Unashamed” as well as who else is participating if you follow the link.
In April, book 4 of the Hauberk Protection series, Hidden Heat, will be released as a trade paperback. So then you’ll be able to own the entire (so far) Hauberk series in either digital or print depending upon your preference.
In May, I’ll be attending the Romantic Times Convention in Kansas City. It’ll be the first time I’ve been to the conference which is a huge get together of readers and authors so I’m looking forward to meeting some of you there.
In June, I’m planning on attending Lori Foster’s Reader and Author Together in Cincinnati again. The registration doesn’t open until March this year, but if you have a chance to attend, Lori’s is a lovely conference that is well worth the $50 registration fee.
I’ve got more good news coming soon too–I’ve known about it since November but the paperwork still has to be finished so I don’t like to talk about it until all the Ts are crossed and the Is are dotted. In the meantime I’ve been sitting on my hands. Well, no, that’s not quite right. Because I’ve needed my hands to write this special project. (And because I have a very real deadline for it/them, I may not be around on Facebook and Twitter, or even here as much as normal.) But there will soon be more books going up on my “Coming Soon” page.
And I should also mention that the last week of 2012 rang out on a positive note too. Hidden Heat was nominated in the “Best Romantic Suspense” Category of the Cupid and Psyche Awards (CAPA) by the reviewers at The Romance Studio, and they also nominated me as “Favorite Author.”
To add to the warm and fuzzies, I Need You for Christmas got a “Top Pick” Review from Terri at Night Owl Romance. And Sarah at Feeling Fictional Reviews called it “…the ultimate feel good Christmas story…”.
So yes, a very positive start to the new year. What are you looking forward to this year?
