Happy Valentine’s Day, Canadian style 38

Northern_Heat_compSince I happen to have a story coming out today in Northern Heat: Best Canadian Erotic Romance stories, I figured it might make a really nice prize for a Valentine’s Day contest.  I’ve been wracking my brains for weeks trying to come up with an interesting contest — and I’ve decided to keep with the Canadian theme. So, tell me a specific place in Canada where you’d love to spend Valentine’s Day. A city, a place in a city, what you might be doing…what you might be eating or drinking…

Would you spend Valentine’s Day in front of a roaring fire in a ski lodge in Banff? Or on the slopes at Mount Tremblant? Drinking some ice wine in the revolving restaurant of the CN Tower in Toronto? Or sipping hot chocolate in a four poster bed in a B&B in the walls of Old Quebec City?

Bed in B&B in Quebec City

Leave me a comment telling me where in Canada you’d like to curl up with your favorite cutie (even if it’s a fictional cutie) for a chance to win a copy of Northern Heat: Best Canadian Erotic Romance Stories autographed by me AND Anara Bella.

The winner will be announced here February 20th.

I’m biased, since I was born in Montreal. It’s a great place to visit. (see my answer to Sheri about stopping off on Crescent St. But don’t miss Old Montreal either, or up on the Mountain.)

Having never been to Canada, I’d want to be anywhere!!! 😀 As long as I’m curled up with the cutie (and indoors — no camping!), I’d be happy with my cutie (or two or three… 😉 ).

As I was reading I knew my answer then you suggested it. The ski lodge in Banff curled up in front of a fire. Always wanted to go there.
    Thanks for the giveaway

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’d have to be in the ice hotel outside of Quebec City, snuggled up under the furry blankets with someone warm with lovely chilled glasses of prosecco in our hands, and chocolate dipped strawberries beside us…. Hmmm. Can I just go there now?

    • Leah B

I love Quebec City — you’re braver than me if you want to stay in the ice hotel. But maybe the furry blankets and someone to warm me up — especially with some prosecco and chocolate dipped strawberries I could be convinced.

  • Kayla

I would love to be in a cottage up north somewere! Sitting cuddling near the fireplace drinking hot coco while eating choc covered strawberries 🙂 and well ya know the rest wink wink 🙂

That is hard. I have never been anywhere in Canada. I would love to travel and visit everywhere I could. From what I have heard and read though Saint Catherine St in montreal is pretty awesome. Would love to visit different B&B’s and just see everything I can possibly see.

Montreal is a wonderful place to visit if you ever have a chance, Sheri. Rue St. Catherine is a great main street to wander — don’t forget to stop off on Crescent Street with their fantastic selection of restaurants.

I haven’t been to Canada since i was a kid. I stayed at Jellystone park with relatives who live in Canada. Yes they have Yogi Bear and Boo at the park too lol At the time i thought it was pretty cool. I was like 8 or 9 i think. I would need someplace with a warm fireplace i think. So give me a B&B.

    Happy release day!

Oh, near Niagara Falls. Which is always a romantic area to stay. Though camping in February might be a tad chilly — maybe we could move you into town in a nice hotel near the casino.

In a cabin on one of the San Juan Islands…watching the orcas in the strait at sunrise and sipping wine in front of a fire in the evening

  • Lori Meehan

I’d go to the Canada side of Niagra Falls. I’ve heard so much about it and how pretty it is. I’d like to stay in a cabin if there was one and yes sit in front of a fire with a book and wine. A computer or TV for my husband. We are kind of boring. Lol.
Congrats Leah on the new release and I can’t wait to read it.

I live in Canada! I have to say that my most favorite place is Québec city! Such a romantic city for lovers! Specially, the Old Québec! Dans le “Vieux Québec” I would really love to read Northern Heat..

We have family in Edmonton, and spent time vacationing in Banff and Jasper, and have visited Toronto, but Canada’s a big place, and there’s a TON we haven’t seen yet. Topping this list might have to be Victoria (and from where we live, that’s relatively close ;)) and one of these days, PEI. Isn’t that home of the Anne of Green Gables series? And Cows ice cream? 🙂

  • Landry Breaux

Congratulations! I have always wanted to visit Nova Scotia and experience the land of my Cajun ancestors. But Prince Edward’s Island was so beautiful in “Anne of Green Gabels”. And I loved watching the season of “The Batchelor” when the show featured a train trip across Canada. So I guess I would be happy pretty much anywhere there. Thank you for the giveaway. It is a wonderful prize. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I think sipping hot chocolate in the four poster bed in a B&B in the walls of Old Quebec City sounds really good. I have never been to Canada and it sounds like it would be amazing to go. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  • Carol L

I’ve never been to Canada but my sister and niece have vacationed there several times and obviously loved it.
I would have said Montreal but I’d definitely go for your suggestion of sipping hot chocolate in a four poster bed in a B&B in the walls of Old Quebec City? Thanks for the recommendation. lol

I would have liked to spent it curled up with a good book and chocolates, but I had a doctors appointment and then I went and bought a new computer… It was a good day all-round..

  • lisagk

I would take one of your suggestions and be sipping hot chocolate in a four poster bed in a B&B in the walls of Old Quebec City.
Thanks for the post and the giveaway. lisagk(at)yahoo(dot)com

I’ve only been to Canada once and that was when I was a teen and we visited Montreal.
I’d love to curl up either on Prince Edward Island or Calgary.
    Thanks for the post.
