Woohoo! Private Property is still #1 over on the My Bookstore and More Bestsellers List. That’s four straight days at the top, and it’s been on the top ten since it was released!
This month I’m featured over at The Romance Studio’s Blue page … you have to scroll down about three quarters of the page to find little old me, or you can go straight to the feature by clicking here. (One of these days I’ll tell you just how photoshopped that photo of me is! Guitar Hero went all out, I tell you.)

I spent the weekend doing edits on Personal Protection and sent them in to my editor this afternoon. Weird part of it is that Angela hadn’t sent them to me, they were things I’d caught on my own – consistency in timeline or clothing or where someone was or wasn’t.

That all started because I’ve been reading Karen Wiesner’s book “First Draft in 30 Days” wondering if I can use it for the latest work in progress which has been shuffled beneath all the promo for Private Property I’ve been doing this last week. Karen’s book has a lot of charts to help you plot your draft so you don’t have to revise as much later. In order to fill out some of the character charts she provides, I needed to go back through Personal Protection to discover what I’d already written about Andy and started thinking “OMG, why did Angela buy this? There’s an error, and there’s an error” and worse … “But he’s not even in this scene so how can he be speaking?” Angela said she’d be happy to accept a revision before she started editing it herself. I’m happy, or happier, with the result and I hope the changes should make my editor’s job a tad easier when she goes through to do her ‘real’ edits. (Always a good thing to keep your editor happy.)

Anyway, that’s done, and I’ve started filling out Karen’s charts and now I’ve had all sorts of plot bunnies attacking with ideas of ways to torture my characters. Always a good thing.
And I’ve got four, count ’em, FOUR courses going on this month, though two of them are on Marketing and Publicity that I figured I could lurk in. (Yeah, right, you know me – I have an opinion on everything. I’m not likely to lurk, as those over in Mandy Roth and Michelle Pillow‘s Marketing on a Budget course have already discovered.) The other one I’m really excited about is the Kiss of Death‘s Private Investigator’s course – since I’m writing a series about a group of PI’s it’s perfect timing!
Curly came home with his itinerary for his upcoming trip to Florida. We have to have him to the school at 2:30 a.m. Yes, AM. in order to get on the bus to catch his flight on Friday the 13th. *fingers crossed, I hate flying and flying on Friday the 13th? Shudder* (Don’t worry, Curly, everything will be fine! I’m having a Mommy Moment.) And he got his exam results back – he got the highest mark of his class in physics. Woo hoo! He deserves … well, a trip to Florida, I guess.

Four Courses in a month. Sounds like the good ole days.

Thing is, part of my New Year’s resolution was that I wasn’t going to take many courses this year. It just seems that all the good ones are being held the same month, darn it all.
