Returning DECEMBER 26, 2022!

a field in the background and cloudy sky at sunset, with a Kindle device in the foreground with the new cover of Texas Tangle by Leah Braemel, which has the same field and sky and a woman wearing a black cowboy hat and red top and a sweater pulled down over her arms revealing her shoulders

After her cheating ex-husband stole her trust and her brother stole everything else, horse breeder Nikki Kimball is intent on reclaiming her independence. When her carefree neighbor Dillon Barnett and his enigmatic best friend Brett Anderson offer to help her out, both in the stable and the bedroom, Nikki relearns how to trust and discovers joy.

Ten years ago, the two friends fought a bitter battle for their high school crush. Although Brett longs to be the man in Nikki’s life, he is forced to decide if he is willing to lose Dillons’ friendship to gain her heart.

As their unusual relationship progresses, Nikki is faced with a conundrum she never expected to face. While her heart wants them both in her life, in her bed, society demands she choose between the two men. Now Nikki has to decide what price she is prepared to pay to keep the happiness and independence she’s finally found.

Texas Tangle is a story I am most proud of, not only because it was chosen to be a launch title of Harlequin’s Carina Press, but because of the characters and the challenges they face, both in the bedroom and between each other, and for Brett, it brings up all sorts of personal demons.

When it was originally digitally released by Carina, it got great reviews and it sold well, even though it wasn’t available in print.  It was the #1 book on Kobo in September 2010, not #1 romance, #1 over all the other books. It was #1 in Amazon’s Erotic Romance categories for quite a while too. I’m hoping that if you haven’t read it, you’ll give this full-length MFM menage a chance and enjoy it too.

But I already own Texas Tangle, do I need it again?” This version is essentially the same as the one Carina Press released in 2010 and 2013. The only change other than the cover is that I’ve added an epilogue that takes place 2 years later. But don’t worry, if you already read Texas Tangle, I’ve formatted the epilogue as its own tiny book and you will be able to download it for free through BookFunnel in the coming weeks so you won’t miss out on what’s happened to Nikki, Brett and Dillon.

Originally I was going to hold off on re-releasing Texas Tangle until February, but the digital version is formatted and ready to go, and I thought, “why wait?”  It takes a while for the files to populate through the stores, but it’s already appearing the main stores. If you shop somewhere else like Angus Robertson or Thalia, use the Books2Read link as it will update as the the book is loaded in the various stores. If you buy your ebooks through Google’s Play store, that won’t go live until December 26, but it will be available there as well.

One thing that makes me most excited is the ability  to offer Texas Tangle to you in paperback format, for the first time ever. However while the file is formatted and ready to upload, I have to have printed proofs sent to me via the mail. As everyone knows, this time of year with all the holiday packages clogging the system, it takes longer to get anything delivered, plus the employees at the printers will want to enjoy their holidays too. So I won’t be working on that until after the holidays.  So on December 26th, you’ll be able to download the digital version, but if you want to buy the paperback it will be probably late January to early February before you’ll be able to order that. But it will be coming, I promise.
